This study, using a qualitative approach, investigated the resilience of eco-tourism businesses in dealing with the climate change crisis in Kermanshah province using a paradigm model. Using purposeful and theoretical sampling, 15 cases were selected, encompassing university professors from Razi University of Kermanshah, officials of the Central Department of Cultural Heritage, and ecotourism entrepreneurs. The tools used for data collection was individual depth interviews. Through open, axial, and selective coding, the research identified key factors that influence resilience, and highlighted a core category: “Low Adaptive Resilience of Tourism Businesses in the Face of Climate Change”. The proposed model emphasizes the importance of multi-dimensional strategies including environmental, business, geographical, awareness, governmental, technical, collaborative, strategic, and resource-mobilizing adaptations. The research underscores the importance of incorporating local knowledge, establishing collaboration between businesses and academia, and government support in enhancing adaptive capacity for a more sustainable and resilient tourism future.
