Abstract: The research aims to analyze and demonstrate the effectiveness of fiscal policy in achieving economic development in developing countries and Iraq as one of the tools of economic policy followed in Iraq. The research reached a number of conclusions, perhaps the most important of which is that the research hypothesis was proven that fiscal policy has an influential role in achieving economic development in Iraq | While the research recommended that the Iraqi government should diversify its sources of revenue and not depend on oil exports in order to achieve the goal it seeks, which is achieving economic development.
