Abstract: This study explores the interconnection between general education and poverty in the Republic of Armenia by examining the impact of both educational participation and public spending on general education on unemployment and poverty. The author emphasizes that low levels of education contribute to rising poverty rates, and therefore, the accessibility and quality of educational services can significantly aid in poverty reduction. Based on statistical data, the study analyzes the factors of multidimensional poverty in the context of general education and proposes a strategic management tool—the “Index of Interconnection between Education Financing and Poverty Levels” (Ie)—which can be used to assess the effectiveness of general education financing and guide the development of public policy aimed at reducing poverty.
