Abstract: The work “Gardens of Travel” (“Riyaz al-Siyahat”) by Haji Zeynalabdin Shirvani, a distinguished 19th-century Azerbaijani traveler and intellectual, represents a significant scientific and geographical heritage. Based on his journeys across Asia, Europe, and Africa, the book contains extensive observations and historical, cultural insights. It has been highly praised by both Eastern and Western scholars and was notably used as a source by Azerbaijani educator Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov. In recent years, notable progress has been made in translating and studying this important work.
