Abstract: Plant awareness research suffers from disparate methodologies and an overreliance on self-reported items, limiting its development. The collection addresses these gaps by highlighting diverse methodologies, including psychology, ethnobotany, arts-based research, and educational sciences. Examples range from herbaria-based curricula, student plant drawings, and participatory art to mind maps that reveal conceptual and emotional connections. These approaches encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, challenge purely utilitarian views of plants, and emphasize cultural, symbolic, and affective dimensions of human–plant relations. The goal is to strengthen methodological frameworks, promote sustainability, and cultivate meaningful relationships with plants through innovative research and pedagogical strategies.
