Abstract: Sex education is an essential component for the integral development of adolescents, as it provides them with tools to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. In the Dominican Republic, this subject is not taught as a structured course, which creates significant gaps in student training. This study assesses the feasibility of including sex education as a core subject at the secondary level, adopting a personalist bioethical approach that prioritizes human dignity and integral development. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional descriptive design was used, targeting district directors from Regional 11 of Puerto Plata. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires validated by experts, and descriptive statistical analysis was applied. The results showed high acceptance: 80% of respondents were fully in favor of including the subject. Priority content identified included affective and family planning, bioethical dilemmas, sexuality in the postmodern context, and interpersonal communication skills. These findings confirm the relevance of sex education that addresses biological, ethical, and social aspects, fostering competencies for a responsible and ethical life. In conclusion, the incorporation of this subject into the secondary-level curriculum is a necessity supported by the educational stakeholders consulted. The personalist bioethical approach offers a balanced education that integrates scientific, ethical, and social dimensions. It is recommended to implement pilot programs that adapt the content to the realities of the Dominican context, thus ensuring educational effectiveness.
