Abstract: Companies are implementing Continuous Improvement (CM) with the aim of constantly improving their manufacturing processes and thus remaining competitive in the market by reducing errors and expenses in their production operations. Therefore, the objective of this article is to propose and analyze the implementation of the DMAIC methodology as a foundation for MC in production processes. The research presented is exploratory, with a qualitative approach, and uses semi-structured interviews carried out with four employees, being guided by the case study method applied in a medium-sized organization in the interior of São Paulo in the agribusiness sector. The results obtained indicate that shift change in the laboratory sector is a critical point, negatively affecting production due to the lack of communication between teams. The DMAIC steps – Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control – were applied to diagnose and propose solutions, such as adopting the Kanban Framework and the Kaizen philosophy, aiming for continuous process improvement.
