Abstract: In modern networks, the complexity and increasing number of devices make asset monitoring essential to ensure the efficient and secure operation of systems. With the integration of various devices and the need for proactive management, monitoring tools are crucial for quickly identifying problems, optimizing resources, and minimizing downtime. In this context, Zabbix stands out as an effective solution for network and system monitoring, providing a centralized and detailed view of asset performance and health, which justifies the interest in this research. Through a detailed literature review on the subject, with critical analysis of academic sources and online documentation, this article has demonstrated that Zabbix offers a wide range of functionalities, including data collection, alert generation, automation, and detailed reporting, thus contributing to greater operational efficiency, availability, and security of networked systems. The article explores the main features of Zabbix, discusses how its functionalities meet monitoring needs, and presents use cases and best practices for its effective implementation.
