Connectivity in Rural Education: Transcendence, Environments and Social Responsibility

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Objective: The objective of the study is to demonstrate the need for connectivity in Rural Education, significance, environments and social responsibility of teachers, students and the community in general, whose purpose is to raise awareness of the educational and technological shortcomings that persist in Rural Education. Theoretical Framework: The main theories that underpin the research are connectivism by Jorge Siemens, collaborative learning by Lev Vygotsky and the common good by Tinoco Cantillo. Method: The methodology that has been used in this research is qualitative, which favors the understanding of the phenomena, from the point of view of the coexistence of individuals, contexts and environments. Based on the interpretive epistemological paradigm and the phenomenological type of research. Results and Discussion: The results showed that access to the institution in winter is a challenge, as is the implementation of connectivity, due to the multiple inconveniences of infrastructure and geographic location. The discussion addresses similar situations in studies carried out in other contexts in the region. Implications of the research: Among the implications, it is intended to make known a latent reality that hurts a student community, which does not find a way out of progress, and that the society with resources provides help to these sectors of rurality. Originality/Value: It is the first study applied in this rural sector, which will allow future researchers to build on this work and look for solutions for these less favored sectors in all areas.
