Study design: Systematic Review
Abstract: The Food and Nutrition Surveillance System (SISVAN) is a strategic tool for monitoring the nutritional status of the Brazilian population, acting as a key indicator in the planning and implementation of public health policies. This study aims to conduct a literature review focused on identifying evidence of the interaction between SISVAN and public health policy initiatives. The methodology consisted of a search in the SciELO, PubMed, and CAPES Journals databases, yielding 915 articles, of which 6 met the inclusion criteria. The results indicate that, despite limitations related to system coverage, SISVAN plays a relevant role in monitoring nutritional data and formulating public health policies.
