Osteopathy as a direction of integrative medicine
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The lecture is devoted to the project of building integrative medicine based on the ideas of biotensegrity as an important concept of osteopathy. The ideas of holism and reductionism and their synthesis within the framework of holoreductionism are introduced. The concept of rational holoreductionism is considered as a philosophical and methodological basis of integrative medicine. On the example of biotensegrity constructions it is proposed to realize the ideas of rational holoreductionism in osteopathy. This approach is further generalized in the framework of the so-called physical-information model of biosystems, which is proposed to be considered as a starting theoretical model of integrative medicine.
