Abstract: This protocol describes thepreparation of glycerol stock solutionsforlong-term bacterial preservationat-70°C or -80°C. Using acryoprotectant (glycerol)prevents cell damage due to ice crystal formation. The process includesbacterial culture growth, centrifugation, mixing with glycerol, and freezingfor long-term viability.
