Abstract: Light-duty vehicles, due to their large population and frequent activity, have gradually become the primary contributors to road traffic energy consumption and carbon emissions in medium to large cities. This study employs internet-based technologies and tracking acquisition methods to real-time capture vehicle operational conditions, energy consumption, and carbon emission data under actual road conditions. It analyzes the variation patterns of vehicle energy consumption and carbon emission intensity with changes in vehicle operating states. Results indicate significant differences in vehicle operating speeds and accelerations across different driving paths. Energy consumption and carbon emission intensity are closely related to variations in vehicle operating conditions, with high energy consumption and carbon emission intensity primarily concentrated at moderate-speed intervals during rapid acceleration. Energy consumption and carbon emission levels tend towards zero during deceleration conditions.
