Abstract: This research is designed to offer empirical evidence on how gender inequality affects per capita economic growth in the regencies and municipality within East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT). This study utilizes secondary data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), which consists of annual data from 22 regencies and municipality in NTT for the years 2018 to 2022. Descriptive quadrant analysis and panel data regression with fixed effects models and robustness checks were carried out to estimate the research model. The results suggest that gender inequality hinders the per capita growth of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the regencies and cities of NTT. More specifically, gender equality in labor participation, education, and the economy plays a crucial role in stimulating GRDP growth.
