Abstract: The text reflects on sustainability, understood in terms of the relationship between humans and nature, focusing on considerations that have been presented within the framework of German Romanticism. Initially, the Jena Circle is contextualised before focusing on some of Schelling's ideas about the relationship between humans and nature. More precisely, two of his conclusions are examined, and then some literary examples of Novalis, von Eichendorff and Goethe are brought up, who express these concepts poetically and draw general conclusions about sustainability.
