Abstract: The rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) are reshaping the landscape of cybersecurity. As cyber threats grow in complexity and frequency, AI emerges as a pivotal force in strengthening defences and transforming cybersecurity strategies. This paper explores the synergies between AI and cybersecurity, the challenges posed by AI-driven threats, and the potential of AI to revolutionise cyber defence mechanisms. It delves into the dual role of AI as both a tool for enhancing security and a vector for new threats, emphasising the need for robust frameworks and ethical considerations in the development and deployment of AI technologies.
