Ai Based Environmental Mapping

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This project presents an AI-based environmental mapping system designed to enhance route visualization by integrating dynamic environmental data with geospatial navigation services. In the evolving landscape of smart transportation and location-based services, our system stands out by providing users with not only optimized driving routes but also real-time weather conditions along the journey, enabling more informed and safer travel decisions. The system utilizes advanced geocoding and routing APIs, including OpenStreetMap's Nominatim and the Open Source Routing Machine (OSRM), to accurately calculate routes between user-defined start and end points.Additionally, it incorporates environmental data to simulate weather conditions throughout the route, presenting this information via an interactive and user-friendly web interface featuring scrollable dropdowns and expandable summaries for enhanced accessibility.By combining geospatial computation with contextual environmental insights, the system addresses key challenges in navigation applications, such as anticipating weather-related hazards and improving trip planning efficiency. The project automates the entire workflow -from input collection to dynamic map generation and automatic display in web browsers -ensuring ease of use across different platforms.Potential applications of this system span various domains including intelligent transportation systems, emergency management, tourism, and environmental monitoring. The framework is designed to be modular and scalable, allowing future integration with live weather APIs and AI-driven predictive analytics to further enhance navigation intelligence.Through this integration of AI-driven mapping and environmental awareness, the project demonstrates how intelligent systems can significantly improve user experience and decisionmaking in travel planning.
