Abstract: North Arm of Sulawesi is one of geothermal potential area in Indonesia. Geothermal field development in this area, especially in the western part of Sulawesi Arm limited due to lack of exploration. In order to help geothermal development strategies, we classify types of geothermal systems in the North Arm of Sulawesi based on geological conditions. We use seismic tomography to determine geological conditions of North Arm of Sulawesi on a regional scale. We use earthquake data to determine subsurface conditions. Based on the results of seismic tomography, the western part of the North Arm of Sulawesi is affected by depression due to the subduction of Celebes Slab and Sula Slab, which causes the heat source of geothermal systems in this area caused by thinned crust. Seismic tomography results in the west are influenced by the Sangihe Arc, which causes geothermal heat sources in this area affected by volcanic activity.
