Abstract: The combination of ZnO and Fe3O4 nanoparticles represents a synergistic strategy for the treatment of skin cancer, exploiting both oxidative stress-induced cytotoxicity and hyperthermic effects for improved anticancer activity. These nanoparticles also function as drug carriers, facilitating targeted delivery and reducing systemic toxicity. Furthermore, controlled-release systems activated by external stimuli, such as light, pH, temperature, or magnetic fields, optimize the accumulation of the drug in tumor tissues. In the present study, Fe3O4-ZnO composite powders were synthesized in aqueous solution through the hydrothermal method under high pressure and temperature. All synthesized powders were characterized by physicochemical and morpho-structural methods such as: FT-IR, XRD, SEM, DLS, and BET. The influence of the hydrothermal synthesis parameters (pressure and time) on the morpho-structural properties of the magnetite–zinc oxide nanocomposites was studied.
