Abstract: Traditional translation teaching has over-emphasized the training of techniques in language conversion while neglecting the readability of translations and audience acceptance.And this oversight weakens the comprehensiveness and practicality of translation education.Plain English, as the clear, direct, easily understandable communication and writing principle, offers valuable insights for translation practice and teaching.This paper is to analyze the feasibility of applying Plain English in Chinese-English translation teaching, and explore ways to introduce Plain English and its principles into this teaching context, thereby enhancing students' translation competence and efficiency, and improving the readability of translations and audience acceptance.This paper aims to develop translation teaching in a more comprehensive and practical manner, and cultivate more professionals who possess strong translation skills and meet social needs.
