Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study aims to bridge the gap in midwifery education by developing a web-based e-module that integrates interactive multimedia, aligned with Indonesia's digital transformation goals, and rigorously tested for feasibility and usability. This study employed an R&D design with a mixed-method sequential exploratory approach and followed the ADDIE model. The first phase involved qualitative data collection through in-depth interviews with 2 lecturers, 1 clinical instructor, 2 media experts and 4 students to identify learning issues and needs. These insights guided the development of a web-based Neonatal, Infant, and Toddler Midwifery Care E-Module using Google Sites. The second phase involved quantitative data collection, including expert validation and usability testing of the e-module using the System Usability Scale (SUS) with DIII Midwifery students. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with theoretical sampling, and 30 fourth-semester midwifery students were selected to assess user acceptance. The qualitative research yielded 24 pages of transcription, 47 codes, 18 categories, and 4 themes from 8 informants. The identified themes were learning issues, practicum challenges, substance needs, and media requirements. The developed E-Module included good module aspects such as self-contained, user-friendly, adaptive learning, and motivational elements, as well as Webqual website quality aspects such as usability, information quality, and service interaction quality. Feasibility tests showed a score of 90.5 % from media experts, 92 % from material experts, and an average user score of 87, categorized as Acceptable in user acceptance. According to the grade scale, this score falls within scale A (≥80.3). This study indicates that the developed Neonatal, Infant, and Toddler Midwifery Care E-Module is feasible to use.
