Abstract: This study aims to examine the book titled “Architectural Program Guide for University Library Buildings in Turkey” written by Erkan ÖZDEMİR in 2024. The book consists of five main chapters: “Introduction”, “University Library Buildings and Architectural Design Examples”, “Planning and Design in University Library Buildings”, “Creating an Architectural Program Guide for New Generation University Libraries” and “Conclusion and Recommendations”. Before the main chapters, “Summary”, “Foreword”, “List of Figures”, “List of Pictures”, “List of Tables”, “List of Abbreviations” and “References” sections are also included in the book. As the author states in the “Foreword” section, the book in question was adapted from his doctoral dissertation work and turned into a book. The author states the purpose of the book as “to create an architectural program guide for planning and designing a modern university library with sustainability principles”.
