Abstract: The term “interdisciplinarity” emerged in the middle of the last century and has since become one of the most important pedagogical practices today. In this sense, this article seeks to present how fundamental the use of this method is in the training of Geography teachers and how this factor can positively influence their classes. Furthermore, it highlights the usefulness in the articulation between Geography and Literature, aiming to enable theoretical issues to obtain a practical example by engaging Geography as a scientific and disciplinary field with Literature as an artistic and disciplinary field. To exemplify this “theoretical practice,” three texts were used as a basis: the books Quarto de Despejo: Diário de uma Favelada (1960) and Clara dos Anjos (1948), in addition to the verse text that makes up the lyrics of the song “Não Existe Amor em SP” by rapper Criolo. Therefore, the objective of this work is to demonstrate how much more playful classes can be fundamental in the learning process of a student.
