Abstract: With the great acceleration in technological development and digital transformation witnessed by the higher education sector, digital competencies have become one of the main pillars in enhancing the quality of the educational process. This research aims to identify the reality of the digital competencies of faculty members at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Misan University in Iraq, where the descriptive curriculum with questionnaires was used as the main tool for data collection, and the sample included 63 faculty members. The results showed that faculty members at the college initiate ideas to promote the integration of technology into the educational process, rely heavily on presentation programs such as PowerPoint and Prezi to explain educational content in interactive ways while using artificial intelligence to analyze student performance and develop teaching strategies to an average degree. The research also recommended the need to invest in continuous training to develop the skills of using modern technology in teaching, and to stimulate digital academic cooperation through digital platforms to exchange experiences and ideas.
