Abstract: The article discusses the main problems of economic security of the agro-industrial complex and threats to the country's food security. We analyzed the targets achieved within the framework of the state program for the development of agriculture, and identified the factors that determine the parameters of the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation in a strategic perspective. In conclusion, promising areas for improving economic security for the domestic agricultural industry are proposed.
