Increase in lipid portion of Phycomyces blakesleeanus biomass induced by vanadate uptake and accumulation

Abstract: Graphical abstract Mycelia of Phycomyces blakesleeanus were incubated for 24 h in V(V) at three different growth stages: mid-exponential (20 h), late exponential/early stationary (36 h) and stationary (56 h). The uptake of V(V) was highest in the mid-exponential stage, while a significant increase in the lipid/amide I ratio was observed in both the mid-exponential and late exponential/early stationary stages.
