Abstract: Happiness is one of the most demanded emotional conditions and according to Aristotle it lies in the process of recognizing, developing and following virtues of oneself. It is also a product of inherent traits that result in human personality as human personalities, in turn, interrelate with perceptions of control whether internally or externally related towards psychological health and how it may develop a condition like conversion disorder. The study examine whether locus of control moderates the association between personality types and subjective happiness in conversion patients and healthy persons in a study of quantitative, cross-sectional design. 319 (161 males / 158 females) purposively selected participants with ages ranging between 18 and 57 years with middle socio-economic classes of Pakistani participants were recruited. The instruments used to gather data were the MBTI of personality type, the Subjective Happiness Scale of subjective happiness and the KMKB of locus of control. Results Indicate internal locus of control was robustly attributed to moderate extroversion-introversion, thinking-feeling and judging-perceiving, and external locus of control moderated sensing-Intuition, thinking-feeling and judging-perceiving, which affected subjective happiness. Such findings are pointers towards creating a better psychological treatment that would be based on both personality types and locus of control.
