Algorithm for Reducing Harmonic Distortions in Electrical Networks Using Passive Filter Compensating Devices
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: With the globalisation of industry, the quality of electricity is changing day by day. The use of power electronics in daily life has increased the efficiency of the system, but at the same time it is the cause of higher harmonics. The resulting harmonics affect the waveform of voltage and current. This problem can be solved by proper use of passive LC filter. This passive filter eliminates forward, reverse and zero-sequence harmonics. In the article the algorithm of reduction of harmonic distortions in electric networks with the help of passive filter-compensating devices is developed, which gives the opportunity to approve the correct and appropriate technical solution, which gives the probability to reduce non-synoidality of voltages to improve the quality of functioning of electric power systems.
