Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The discovery of undescribed, narrow range, endemic species still occurs with surprising frequency in Western Australia. The two species of Goodeniaceae named and described herein as Goodenia jabailyae K.A.Sheph.& L.W.Sage and Scaevola goodsiorum R.W.Davis, K.A.Sheph.& L.W.Sage were collected for the first time in 2006 and 2017 respectively. Both species are currently only known from a single population situated c. 45 km apart in the Mallee bioregion of southwest Western Australia and hence are species of conservation concern.
