Association Of The Lys198asn Polymorphism Of The Edn1 Gene With Its Expression Level And The Risk Of Essential Arterial Hypertension In Patients With Obesity

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Obesity is a significant prognostic factor in the development of arterial hypertension; however, the molecular-genetic mechanisms underlying this association have not been fully studied. It provides a detailed examination of key genetic polymorphisms associated with both obesity and hypertension. Particular attention is given to the role of endothelial dysfunction as one of the central pathological mechanisms contributing to the progression of hypertension in obese patients. Additionally, the study explores the potential implementation of genetic biomarkers for risk stratification and the development of personalized therapeutic approaches aimed at preventing and treating arterial hypertension in this patient group.
