Abstract: In the article, it is noted that the problems of development of foreign trade security worried researchers as national economies are integrated into the world economic circulation. Their search for the minimization of risks and threats that accompanied this process, as well as the most advantageous approaches to the implementation of their foreign trade policy, made it possible to develop instruments for favoring and protecting national economic interests in the field of foreign economic activities. Modern scientific approaches, according to the authors, emphasize attention not only on the need for protection, but also on active adaptation of regions to global challenges, which is especially relevant in the context of foreign economic activities of the entities of the Russian Federation. This confirms the need for a systematic approach to the study of problems in foreign economic activities, taking into account their specificities and situation in the national economy. Analysis of modern socio-economic development of the Krasnodar region, carried out by the authors, showed that the region is characterized by a complex combination of factors, which determine its positioning as one of the leading regions of the Russian Federation. The region has favourable natural resource conditions, highly developed agricultural sectors and significant transport and logistics potential. Foreign economic activities play a key role in the economic development of the province, being an important element of its integration into the global economy. The Krasnodar region, located at a strategic crossroads of Europe and Asia, has considerable export and import potential, making foreign economic activity an essential factor in its socio-economic stability.
