Congenital Sliding Hiatal Hernia in a 5‐Week‐Old Ex‐Preterm Infant With Recurrent Gastroesophageal Reflux Amid the COVID‐19 Pandemic

Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Case Report
Abstract: Despite the increasing prevalence of airborne infections such as COVID-19, congenital hiatal hernia should be suspected in preterm infants presenting with respiratory symptoms and recurrent reflux. Barium swallow is helpful in ruling out pneumonia. Antenatal diagnosis is a key to early recognition and timely interventions.
