Abstract: 歯周組織は，歯槽骨，歯根膜，セメント質，歯肉上皮など，上皮・間葉由来の組織から構成される。上皮・間葉の入り交じった複雑な構造がゆえに，歯周病の病態メカニズムの解明や効果的な治療法・予防法の開発には，個々の組織の特性を深く理解することが必要である。
