Cidade Sonora: interface entre arquitetura, música e artes visuais
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article proposes an investigation into the use of graphic scores as an intersection between the fields of music, visual arts, and architecture. We analyze the piece Cidade Sonora — composed in 2022, based on architectural façades in São Paulo — as an example of synesthetic creation and interpretation, bringing different possibilities of musical notation, with a methodology of symbolic transposition from the graphic plane to the sonic/gestural plane, associated with gestures of Conduction (MORRIS, 2017), Soundpainting (THOMPSON, 2006), and Ritmo y Percusión con Señas (VÁZQUEZ, 2013).
