Principles of forming a thermo-radiative environment in premises with circular general-purpose radiators

Abstract: One of the key factors in forming the indoor microclimate is the radiative properties of both the emitters and the interior surfaces of the room. When creating a thermo-radiative environment indoors, the exchange of radiation fluxes between the emitters and the surfaces affects the radiation temperature and the human condition. For standard and uncomplicated scenarios, this problem is solved easily. However, in complex situations – such as unusual premise geometries and emitters – certain difficulties arise. This work is dedicated to developing principles for forming a thermo-radiative environment in rooms with complex geometries and with circular or ring-shaped general-purpose radiators using an advanced mathematical tool – point calculus. Based on the fundamental point equation of a circle, a point-based equation for a circle and a ring has been developed. This equation is used to create a scanning point field and to visualize the resulting equation in the Maple environment. For each group of three or four neighbouring scanning points, the radiation parameters are determined: irradiation coefficients, radiation temperature, and radiation flux. The total of these parameters from all elements at the calculation points forms their distribution throughout the premise. The developed principles using point calculus allow for increased calculation accuracy and reduced computation time by eliminating the need to compile bulky systems of equations that are typically solved by numerical methods. As a result of the research, a sequence of actions was determined for simulation of the thermal radiation processes. Future research will focus on developing a software package for creating comfortable thermo-radiative conditions in premises equipped with surface radiators of various shapes and spatial arrangements.
