Abstract: George Cobb had a remarkable career as a visionary leader in statistics education and I was privileged to have him as a mentor and a friend. He influenced my teaching and that of many others by challenging us to think about the entire enterprise of statistics education differently. In this article I highlight contributions to the profession and George’s impact on my own work.
