Abstract: The article discusses the 2006 Israeli-Lebanese war as an example of an asymmetric conflict. The author used the case study method, focusing on an in-depth analysis of the war. This case study allows for a detailed assessment of the military, political, and strategic aspects of the conflict. The conflict, fought between Israel and the Hezbollah organization, was characterized by unconventional methods of warfare that define asymmetric confrontations, such as the propaganda efforts, absence of traditional frontline and the use of civilian infrastructure. The text examines not only the military, but also the political context, analyzing the dynamics of asymmetry in the confrontation between a conventional military power and the irregular, unconventional methods employed by a non-state actor. The author highlights the significance of asymmetric conflicts in contemporary realities and their impact on international security and regional stability. The article emphasizes that despite its formal conclusion, this war left unresolved tensions that could lead to further conflicts.
