Abstract: Стаття присвячена детальному аналізу поняття громадянського суспільства, його значенню в сучасному світі та основним характеристикам.Автор надає всебічне визначення цього явища, акцентуючи увагу на його динамічному характері та ключовій ролі у формуванні демократичного суспільства.Громадянське суспільство визначається як спільнота, що об'єднує вільних і рівноправних громадян.Воно є важливим елементом для функціонування будь-якої країни, адже складається з соціальних утворень, об'єднаних спільними інтересами, які реалізуються поза межами державного впливу.Таке суспільство сприяє формуванню суспільного життя та впливу на діяльність держави.Створення демократичної, правової й соціальної держави неможливе без активної ролі громадянського суспільства.У процесі дослідження різних аспектів громадянського суспільства підкреслюються його ключові ознаки, серед яких важливе місце займають активна участь громадян у суспільному житті, підтримка громадських організацій, функціонування механізмів громадського контролю та високий рівень соціальної довіри.Окремо виділяється значення громадянської активності та волонтерської діяльності, які виступають основним рушієм розвитку громадянського суспільства.Актуальність даної статті обумовлена потребою у вирішенні однієї з ключових проблем побудови громадянського суспільства в Україні.Ця проблема потребує негайного розв'язання та постійної уваги й полягає у концептуальному теоретико-правовому аналізі взаємодії громадянського суспільства з державою, особливо через призму їх інституційних аспектів.Основна мета роботи полягає у дослідженні та осмисленні комплексних взаємовідносин між органами державної влади та громадянами в сучасному політико-правовому середовищі.У статті розглядаються багатогранні аспекти взаємодії між державними структурами та громадянським суспільством у контексті сучасної політичної ситуації.Вона висвітлює ключові моменти цієї співпраці, включаючи роль громадянського суспільства у процесі формування політичних рішень, механізми партнерства між владою і громадськістю, а також значення активізму і громадської участі в демократичних процесах.Ключові слова: громадянське суспільство, держава, функції громадянського суспільства, державна влада.This article provides an in-depth exploration of the concept of civil society, emphasizing its importance in the contemporary world and outlining its principal characteristics.The author offers a thorough definition of civil society, highlighting its evolving nature and pivotal role in fostering democratic systems.Civil society is portrayed as a community composed of free and equal individuals bound by shared interests that operate independently of state control.It serves as a cornerstone for the development of any nation, facilitating public engagement and influencing governmental actions.The establishment of a democratic, lawful, and socially-oriented state is deemed unattainable without the active involvement of civil society.Throughout the analysis, the article underscores several defining features of civil society, including citizen engagement in public affairs, robust support for civic organizations, effective mechanisms for public oversight, and elevated levels of social trust.Special attention is given to civic and volunteer initiatives, which are identified as essential drivers behind the growth and sustainability of civil society.The relevance of this study stems from the pressing need to address a critical issue in the development of civil society within Ukraine.This challenge involves a theoretical and legal examination of civil society's interaction with governmental institutions, particularly through the lens of their institutional dynamics.It demands immediate action and ongoing scrutiny.The article aims to unravel the complex interplay between governmental authorities and citizens within the current political and legal framework.It delves into the multifaceted relationship between state structures and civil society, paying particular attention to the contemporary political climate.Key aspects of this collaboration are examined, such as civil society's role in shaping political decisions, strategies for fostering partnerships between government entities and the public, and the significance of activism and civic involvement in democratic governance.
