Parametric amplification of angularly multiplexed waves for application to beam smoothing
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The parametric amplification of angularly multiplexed waves is studied via modeling and experiments. The phase-matching properties of the amplification process with a single pump, including parasitic interactions of pairs of signal/idler, are investigated. An experimental demonstration with up to six signal waves is presented, with a quantification of the output properties, including stability relative to the input pump and seeds. A proof-of-concept study of beam smoothing induced by combining up to 12 speckle fields generated from six signal waves and six idler waves is shown.
