Attunement
Year: 2025
Type: dissertation
Abstract: Attunement is written research and a body of artworks forming an exhibition stemming from the question, what does a Solarpunk art practice look like? This thesis document discusses the need for re-attuning to nature in personal and technological terms and provides reframings of art’s role in activism, humanity’s role in nature and the importance of craft practices to the human species. Proposing programming as a contemporary tool for craft, the research frames digital fabrication tools as means to create a new vernacular of place within hand and technologically-made items in a future according to the Solarpunk movement.
