Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This qualitative multiple case study aimed to understand how kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 4 teachers navigate the challenges of implementing the 45-minute subject allotment under the MATATAG Curriculum at Maniki Central Elementary School SPED Center. Through in-depth interviews, teachers shared their experiences, including modifying teaching methods, addressing time constraints, and fostering effective instructional practices. Key coping strategies emerged, such as collaborative planning, creative use of available materials, adapting to student needs, and employing balanced instructional strategies. Participants emphasized the importance of passion, dedication, professional growth, and leading by example. The study provides valuable insights for educators, researchers, and policymakers in supporting teachers during curriculum transitions.
