Abstract: About the book (Re)defining Creativity: Neurodivergent Creative Praxis in Connection, Play, Learning, and LiberationNeurodivergent individuals think, create, and work in all kinds of ways, but we live in a world built for and by neurotypical people.Neurodivergence is typically seen as something to "address" rather than something that brings creative strengths to communities, cultures, and environments. This book explores the strengths inherent within neurodiverse creativity, stories, research, and practical insights on when and how neurodiverse creativity enriches connection, play and learning. It discusses the systemic barriers we come up against, and what needs to change to make creative spaces genuinely neuro-affirming.
