Abstract: E-government services (EGS) provide a futuristic public sector public service delivery alternative by combining information and communication technology (ICT). Virtual channels add a new level of government-citizen, business, and other stakeholders' relationship in access, efficiency, and transparency. EGS can grow to increase civic engagement, economic development, and social equity with changing digital technology. The current research analyzed the contribution of political trust (PT) and technology acceptance (TA) toward EGS adoption, integrating PT into the technology reception model to explore its impact. A standardized questionnaire survey was utilized to collect 125 participants' responses, with data analyzed using descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), path analysis, and correlation analysis. The results indicate that PT and TA significantly impact EGS adoption, with TA being positively affected by PT. Path analysis outcomes indicate that perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEU) have major impacts on EGS adoption, with PU (coefficient = 0.60, p = 0.000) and PEU (coefficient = 0.45, p = 0.001) having significant impacts. Correlation analysis shows correlations between variables, particularly between PU and PEU (0.85), which are extremely high. The results emphasize the significance of building trust in government organizations and streamlining the system for easy adaptation of EGS. Improving public trust in electronic governance and enhancing interface friendliness can make substantial contributions toward participation. Policymaking suggests the creation of citizen-centric e-government portals to enhance public service delivery. Demographic factors in technology acceptance and measuring long-run impacts of political trust on repeat use of EGS are some areas that need to be approached through research in the future.
