Abstract: Background: The opportunistic pathogenic bacterium Klebsiella pneumonia (K. Pneumoniae) is known to cause bacteremia and sepsis. It is commonly acquired from hospitals and the community, particularly from elderly patients, under the age of five patients, patients who have a history of alcohol use, diabetes melitus, cancer, end-stage renal failure, and immune system suppression. Hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae (hyKp) has emerged as a global pathogen of concern. HypervirulentzKlebsiella pneumoniae (hyKp) is more virulent than classical K.pneumoniae (cKp) and is capable of causing community-acquired infections, often in healthy individuals. Hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae is carried in the gastrointestinal tract, contributing to its spread in the community and healthcare settings. String test can be used as a simple microbiological identification technique. Biomarkers of hyKp strains include string test phenotypes. Case details: These three case reports involve people over 50 who developed pyogenic infections in the pericardium, meninges, and coli. Hypermucoviscous K. pneumoniae was found in the isolated colonies from these three instances using a string test. The isolated K. pneumoniae colonies were identified and susceptibility tested using Vitek2. In our situation, hypermucous leads to a disseminated infection, where the human gut plays a role in storing hyKp. Conclusions: Klebsiella pneumoniae cause infection in patients aged >over 50. The morphology colony in blood agar had a hypermucoviscous appearance and a positive string test. Hypermucoviscous K. pneumoniae is still sensitive to many antibiotics.
