Abstract: Every day, millions of people grapple with mental ill health, often in silence, and too often without support. Approximately 17% of individuals in the WHO European Region have a mental disorder, yet one in three do not receive the treatment they need. Armed conflicts, economic uncertainty, and the climate crisis have intensified demand for mental health services, building on the increased pressures created by the COVID-19 pandemic and exposing deep and longstanding weaknesses in Europe's mental health systems.
