Abstract: This essay addresses amnesia between and about queer generations in the contemporary US classroom. Drawing on theorists and historians such as Audre Lorde, George Chauncey, Gayle Rubin, and others, it argues that undergraduate students in the mid-2020s should be better introduced to queer and trans later lives through their syllabi. To do so, it walks readers through a regularly taught course, LGBTQ Lifespans, and outlines its readings, assignments, and objectives.
