Abstract: Lipomatosis of the gastrointestinal tract is a rare condition with a small number of cases. The term lipomatosis describes the focal proliferation of normal fat in soft tissues, such as the mediastinum, kidneys, pelvis, or intestine. Lipomatosis of the ileocecal valve is a rare disease with few cases described in the medical literature. It is characterized by diffuse fatty infiltration of the ileocecal valve. It is usually asymptomatic, and when symptomatic, it may present as abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, an occlusive condition, or bleeding; it may be a finding on radiological studies. We present a case of lipomatosis in the terminal ileum and ileocecal valve. Contrast-enhanced multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) showed fatty infiltration in the terminal ileum and ileocecal valve.
