Abstract: The withdrawal of the recommendation for a test suite to the randomness of sequences by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology in 2022 (A Statistical Test Suite for Random and Pseudorandom Number Generators for Cryptographic Applications) deprived researchers and users of this tool of a formally recognised and thus commonly accepted instrument for verifying such sequences. The aim of this paper is to present the author's novel method of random sequence testing, which is objective and free from the specific properties and limitations of other well-known test sets. The method was based on real properties of random sequences with a discrete uniform probability distribution. It uses the elementary parameters of these sequences, described by the probability theory, statistics and the information theory. In contrast to the sets of tests used so far, the proposed method is single-parameter. Theoretically, it does not depend on the sample size, and the result of the verification of only one test of a random sequence of an appropriate size unambiguously qualifies or disqualifies it as the implementation of a sequence of random variables with default reference properties and probabilistic parameters. The method was developed as a tool to support the project of a quantum microwave random sequence generator with the capacity of 1 Gbit/s. It was constructed as part of the statutory work of the Military Communications Institute.
