Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The concept of crisis is ubiquitous in urban studies. It is contested and debated across the multi-disciplinary field and in the public sphere. Recent research builds on longstanding debates about how to use the concept with greater precision and efficacy. Employing Janet Roitman's concept of anti-crisis , this intervention argues for recognising the boundedness of the concept, and for working more reflexively with and against it.
