Abstract: Prostate cancer is a significant cause of cancer-related deaths in men. Early detection is crucial to combat the disease. RNA sequencing is a technique that has revolutionized our understanding of human transcriptome and is now a useful tool for identifying biomarkers that help in diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of cancer treatment. This article explores how the transcriptome has become a promising tool for guiding clinical decisions, especially in active surveillance and adjuvant treatments in prostate cancer.
